Terms of Use

Last updated: October 30, 2026

These terms are written in plain English. By using savvyscratcher.com (the "site"), you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Short version: Savvy Scratcher is a free information site. It isn't the Lottery, it doesn't sell tickets, and its rankings are estimates, not promises. The simulator uses play money only. You must be 18 or older. Play for fun and only spend what you can afford to lose.

1. Who we are

Savvy Scratcher is an independent project based in Washington State. "We," "us," and "our" mean Savvy Scratcher. You can reach us at hello@savvyscratcher.com.

2. What Savvy Scratcher is

  • The site ranks Washington scratch tickets using prize information that Washington's Lottery publishes, mainly how many prizes are left in each game.
  • We are not a lottery. We don't sell tickets, take bets, hold money, or pay prizes.
  • The site includes a play-money simulator, a Gallery of sketches, and articles and tips.

3. Not affiliated with Washington's Lottery

Savvy Scratcher is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Washington's Lottery, the Washington State Lottery Commission, or the State of Washington. Game names, ticket art, and Lottery trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify games.

4. You must be 18 or older

The site is meant for adults. You must be at least 18, which is the legal age to buy Washington Lottery tickets, to use it. Never buy tickets for anyone under 18.

5. Estimates, not predictions

  • Rankings, "remaining value," payback figures, and similar numbers are estimates based on math. They are our opinion, not a prediction of what any ticket will pay.
  • Every scratch ticket is random. A high ranking does not mean you will win. Most tickets lose, and on average a ticket pays back less than it costs.
  • Lottery data can be late, incomplete, or wrong, and our own processing can make mistakes. Prize counts can change between a Lottery update and when you read our page. Tickets that are sold but not yet claimed are not reflected.
  • Always check official information with Washington's Lottery before relying on it.
  • Nothing on the site is financial, legal, tax, or gambling advice. What you spend on tickets is your decision and your responsibility.

6. The simulator is play money only

  • Simulator credits, tickets, and results are pretend. They have no cash value. They can't be bought, sold, earned for real, transferred, or redeemed for money, prizes, or anything else of value.
  • Simulator results are illustrations. They don't reflect, predict, or affect any real ticket or game.
  • The simulator is not gambling and is not a contest or sweepstakes. We will not attach prizes or real-money rewards to it.
  • Your simulator balance and cart are saved only in your own browser. Clearing your browser data resets them, and we can't restore them.

7. Play responsibly

Set a budget before you play, stick to it, and never chase losses. If gambling stops being fun, help is free and confidential:

8. Ads and support never affect rankings

  • The site may show ads and may offer ways to support it, such as Patreon, in the future.
  • Ads, sponsors, and supporters never change rankings, scores, or the order of games. Rankings come only from the published prize data and our stated method.
  • Ads come from third parties and are not endorsements. We intend to block gambling and lottery ads where the ad network allows.
  • Any support through Patreon would be handled by Patreon under its own terms, including billing and refunds.

9. Our content and how you can use it

  • You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • You're welcome to quote or share a short excerpt of our rankings if you credit Savvy Scratcher and link back to the site.
  • Please don't scrape, bulk-download, copy large parts of the site, or use our rankings to build a competing product or dataset. Search engines indexing the site is fine.
  • Public Lottery facts, like official prize counts, aren't owned by us. Our rankings, write-ups, and site design are ours.
  • The Gallery sketches are AI-generated placeholder art. Please don't sell them or present them as your own.

10. Acceptable use

Don't attack, overload, or try to break the site; don't use it for anything illegal; and don't present our numbers as official Lottery figures.

11. Links to other sites

We link to other sites, such as Washington's Lottery and helpline groups. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.

12. Changes

We may change the site or these terms at any time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll post a notice on the site. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. No warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise it will be accurate, complete, current, or always online.

14. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • We are not responsible for money you spend on lottery tickets, or for any loss from relying on the site.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
  • Since the site is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to $50.

Some rights under Washington law, including the Consumer Protection Act, can't be waived, and nothing here takes them away.

15. Governing law

Washington State law governs these terms. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Spokane County, Washington, or in small claims court where it qualifies.
