Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

The short version

  • No accounts. We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number.
  • No cookies from us today. Your site settings and simulator play money are saved only in your own browser, and we never receive them.
  • Cookieless page counts. Vercel Web Analytics is enabled. It records aggregate stats such as pages visited, referrer, country, and device type. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no personal profiles.
  • We don't sell your data, and we don't build profiles of you.
  • No ads yet. When ads are added, this page will explain what the ad provider collects and how to opt out.

1. Who this covers

This policy covers savvyscratcher.com, run by Savvy Scratcher, an independent project in Washington State. Questions: hello@savvyscratcher.com.

2. What is stored in your browser

The site uses your browser's local storage, not cookies, to remember a few things on your device. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us:

  • Display settings: show numbers, show the daily tip, and show the last day to redeem.
  • Simulator: your play-money wallet and its daily top-up, your cart, your ticket tray, and whether sound is on.
  • Daily ticket: whether you've scratched today's home-page ticket.

You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for savvyscratcher.com.

3. What our host collects

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers see basic technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use this to identify you. Our domain's DNS runs through Cloudflare in DNS-only mode, so Cloudflare doesn't handle your page visits. Fonts are served from our own site, not Google Fonts.

4. Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics is enabled. It is cookieless and collects aggregate page-view stats, such as pages visited, referrer, country, and device type. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no personal profiles.

5. If you email us

If you email hello@savvyscratcher.com, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message, and Savvy Scratcher reads it. We'll get your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, and we delete it when we no longer need it.

6. Advertising (when ads are added)

This section takes effect only when ads go live. Until then, the site shows no ads.

  • We plan to use Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
  • You can turn off personalized ads at Google's Ad Settings or opt out of many ad networks at aboutads.info/choices.
  • Visitors from Europe, the UK, and Switzerland will see Google's consent message before any ad cookies are used.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we'll treat it as a request to opt out of personalized ads and data "sharing," and serve only non-personalized ads to you.
  • Ads never affect rankings.

7. How we use information

Only to run, secure, and improve the site and to reply to messages. We don't sell personal information, share it for cross-site advertising before ads launch, or use it for profiling or automated decisions.

8. Washington My Health My Data Act

We do not collect, infer, or share consumer health data as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373). Our responsible-play page lists helpline numbers, but we don't track who views that page or clicks those links, and we don't offer self-assessment quizzes. If that ever changes, we'll publish a separate consumer health data policy first.

9. Children

The site is for adults 18 and older. It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

10. Your choices and rights

You can clear local storage at any time. You may email us to ask what information we have about you, which is usually only an email you've sent, or to ask us to delete it. We'll respond within 45 days. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, and we'll honor these requests for every visitor regardless of state.

11. Security

We use HTTPS on every page and keep the data we hold to a minimum. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we'll notify you as Washington law (RCW 19.255) requires.

12. Changes

We'll update the date at the top when this policy changes and post a notice on the site for important changes, including before ads go live.

13. Contact

hello@savvyscratcher.com. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards that mail, and Savvy Scratcher reads it. You can also use the contact page.
